Raw Brownie Pine Cones

These raw brownie cacao pine cones are a delicious fusion of natural sweetness, rich cacao, and grounding whole-food goodness. Crafted from nuts, (or coconut or both!) and dates, they offer a deeply satisfying treat that nourishes as it delights.
Each bite is packed with minerals, antioxidants, and healthy fats that support steady energy and uplift the mood, while the raw cacao adds a touch of ancient plant magic. With their soft, fudgy texture and festive pine-cone shape, these little creations are more than just a dessert—they’re a mindful moment of indulgence, inviting you to savour, slow down, and enjoy a taste of nourishment straight from nature.

Ingredients

​RAW BROWNIES

  • 150g of ground hazelnuts/ nut of choice/mix of nuts

  • 300g Medjool dates

  • 2 tbsps nut butter (optional)

  • 3 tbps Cacao Powder

  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon 

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • A dash of water, for binding if needed

DECORATION

  • 200g of sliced almonds/cereal/ shaved coconut

  • 60g Cacao butter/Coconut oil

  • 40g raw Cacao

  • 2 tbsp Cacao powder

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • Desiccated Coconut snow

Method

  • Place Cacao butter/coconut oil in a heatproof bowl and place over a saucepan of simmering water.  Stir til melted and combined.

  • Stir in Cacao powder and honey.  Set aside to thicken slightly as it cools.

  • Blitz all the brownie ingredients in a blender to form a coarse paste that holds together when pinched between your fingers

  • Generously sprinkle a tray with ground nuts or coconut to prevent the cones from sticking.

  • With wet hands, shape the brownie mix into wee cones and place on tray.

  • Insert almond flakes with your intention into each brownie cone, starting from the bottom and working up to create that pine cone effect.

  • Place a brownie cone on a fork and place in the bowl of topping.  Spoon the chocolate over the pine cones til completely enrobed, allow excess chocolate to run off by holding over the bowl for a few seconds and place back on the tray.  

  • Repeat.

  • Sprinkle with coconut 'snow' if desired.

  • Pop in the fridge, and wow your guests with this warm intention infused healthy treat.
