ingredients Yogurt, chia seeds, hemp, se

Ingredients

  • Greek or DF yogurt

  • 1 - 2 T chia seeds

  • 1 - 2 T ground flaxseeds

  • 1 T hemp seeds

  • 1/4 of a Pomegranate seeds

  • 1 Golden kiwi - chopped

  • 1 T raw honey

  • 1 t Acai powder

  • 1 t Acerola powder

  • Anything else you fancy

Method

  • Pop your desired amount of yogurt into a bowl.

  • Sprinkle in all the ingredients you choose to add.

  • Visually enjoy how gorgeous your Super Bowl looks.

  • Close your eyes, take a few conscious breaths and set an intention of deep nourishment

  • Walk away from all devices, sit outside if you can, or somewhere with no distractions to fully enjoy.

  • Bon appetite!

Tips & Tricks in the kitchen magic wand

Tips & Tricks

You can combine any nuts, seeds, grains you prefer or have on hand.  This is one of my favourites which packs the nutritional punch I am after.

  • Don't multi-task while you eat.
  • Savour each bite with intention, envisioning the goodness nourishing your every cell.

  • Choose organic if you can and if budget allows.

  • Eat outdoors, filling your senses with wholesomeness.

  • If this is not possible, enjoy this whilst listening to a calming track that fills you with joy.  I've included a favourite of mine.

  • Be aware of your posture while you dine.  Sitting up straight to allow the easy passage of your meal to your stomach.

  • Mouth closed, breathing through your nose softly. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system - rest and digest mode.

  • Breathing through the nose also helps you savour the aroma of what you are eating.

  • Drink plenty of water after 20mins.  This allows your digestive juices time to do their job, and this combo of seeds requires lots of water to do their job too.

Creating your bowl

Don’t be overwhelmed by the number of ingredients.  You can  add or omit any ingredients you like.

If ingredients like the açai or acerola powder seem too expensive to buy all at once, consider popping just one of these per week or month into your shopping basket - whatever your budget allows.  A little goes a long way.  

Gradually adding to your stash of goodies is a lot less overwhelming!
